| When? |
| We will set a new contest on a
regular basis, usually at the beginning of the month.
You can upload contest materials until the end of
the month. Winner will be announced at the beginning
of the following month. |
| Who can participate? |
| Anyone that like challenges!. |
| Who can win the prize? |
| Anyone who participates, except
for Next Limit employees. They can participate but
cannot win the prize. Hey, we like challenges too! |
| How can I participate? |
Just upload your material as usual
and add "contest-month" as a keyword
(e.g:contest-december). You can also add
the contest theme as a suffix (e.g: “rudolfnose_christmas”).
Only materials that meet all the requirements and
have been sent within the month will be considered
(GMT+1). Do not worry about administration time,
we will not take it into account. Of course, we
recommend that you don’t wait until the last
minute to upload your material. |
| How many materials can I send
per contest? |
| You can upload as many materials
as you want. We judge quality, not quantity... |
| Who is judging? |
| Maxwell’s technical team. |
| How will materials be judged? |
We will look at:
- Technical skills
- Originality and creativity
- Overall appearance
|
| What if someone copies my
material? |
| In previous contests, some users
uploaded copies of others’ materials with
only a few changes. Completely original
materials will be favored over copies,
because we judge originality. We will be able to
trace originality by looking at the upload date
of materials. A material that is an obvious copy
of another one will be disqualified. If you see
that someone has copied your original material,
please send an email.
We will look into every case and act accordingly. |
| What if someone rates down
my material or rates up his own material? |
| The mxm gallery ratings
do not influence the outcome of the competition
in any way. The winner is decided by our
independent team of judges and they will look at
ALL submitted materials without looking at their
ratings. Therefore, there is no point in rating
up your own material or rating down someone else’s.

| What about unfair behavior? |
| Any type of negative or unfair
behaviour, including unfair rating, will not be
accepted and will be taken into account when judging
the materials. If you behave unfair, this will only
give you less chance of winning the competition.

| What is the prize? |
| We will have different prizes for
different contests, but they will all be
fabulous! |
| If I win, how will I get my
prize? |
| We will contact you
by email to get your postal address. Please be aware
that we will contact you at the mxm gallery-registered
email address, so make sure you check it regularly.
You will receive your prize as soon as possible,
but it might take some time if you live far away
or if we have to send bigger packages. |
| What happens afterwards? |
| We will give you the “contest
winner” distinction on the MXM website and
we will post your winning material on the MXM contests
page. We would also love to receive a picture
of you with your prize to post on the MXM contest
site along with your winning material. |
