What is the difference between Maxwell’s
materials and others?
Maxwell’s materials are more realistic than ever.
Inside Maxwell, materials are modelled in a physically
correct manner. They are defined from their BSDF curves
(Bidirectional Scattering Distribution Function). With
the material editor, the materials can be defined in
the same way as materials exist in the real world. The
user can create Sub Surface Scattering, thin layer interference,
light emission, etc. And you can mix them all using
layers.
Our materials work cross-platform. This means that
you can create materials within your own application
and share it with users of other applications. For example,
if you use Maya for Mac, your materials can also be
used by someone who uses 3dsMax for PC.
And the best part of it is that you don’t need
to pay anything. You can get all of them for free! |
